From Xanax to Paxil and what not?

PiKindaGuy,

This really depends on the individual. For me, Paxil and Xanax took effect immediately, whereas Lexapro didn't work at all. For some people, you will get an opposite response. Others will say that it took time to see anything.

I noticed a change with Paxil immediately, but I do remember it taking some time to get used to.

Xanax starts to work in about half an hour and reach peak effect within 2 hours. All benzos work quickly -- with quickly defined as within the hour.

Paxil (and other SSRIs) are not fast drugs. You might see some improvement within a couple weeks, but full results can take up to 8 weeks. And that's assuming Paxil works in your case.
