I recently has a session with my psychiatrist, and whilst I'm coping to a degree with the SA on my present dose of Paroxetine and Zyprexa, I asked about new treatments and research. Apparently there is some development in the area of regulating glutamine (I hope I've got this right). He indicated that if it proves successful, commercial availability would be about 3-5 years from now. Someone may know something more on this?? Like I said, I hope I've identified the "glutamine" correctly. Cheers Adam |

I think he means to say glutamate though rather than glutamine. There are a lot of glutamatergic drugs though so it's difficult to tell which one he could possibly mean without more info.

Yeah, I wonder if you could take zopiclone by night, and pagoclone by day, for more targeted anxiety/insomnia relief.
I definitly think that GABA-A selective α2/α3 agonists are the way forward for future anxiolytics though, rather than stuff like buspar.

Nah, I think he was talking about some form of medication which regulates either glutamine or glutamate, not sure which drug it is though.
