I think the no sex rule is good for a forum like this. I have absolutely no interest in reading about other people's sex life. But this site seems too strict when it comes to sexually related problems, or when sexual terms are occasionally used in a light-hearted reply.

^ I suggest we dub it "The Birds and the Bees" subforum.

I really wish you wouldn't delete this . Think about how many times this subject has been brought up. I appreciate that some things are out of your hands. But I think this post... in addition to the others bring up a really good point. There's a lot of things I want to post but feel like it's a "bad thing" and I can't say and it's nothing seedy. Yet there are posts in the triumphs section saying "I lost my virginity I saw a prostitute". It's easier for guys anyway... sorry personal issues. My point is that every member here should be a valued customer to you, if no one posted you wouldn't have a business and by shutting any threads you don't want to hear you're insulting and disrespecting and disregarding what a large proportion of your members are saying... again think how many times this thread has been brought up. The least you could do is acknowledge it and not lock it like it's a sin because we're not in a nunnery. It's upsetting to me because you don't seem to read all the posts before deleting and every single post has made a valid point. Because this website's so successful it seems like you don't care about the members and since the key topic is anxiety, by shutting people down when they talk, in what is supposed to be an open and supportive environment, that type of thing only causes anxiety problems.

Don't know much about forum software so i'm not sure if this is feasible or not. Could a 18+ section be created for members only with a warning before entering the section that the material within could be offensive. Or having members request access to that forum that needs to be approved before viewing or posting? That way anyone who is too sensitive/young to handle such topics has fair warning or needs to request access. It would be nice to have a section that deals with sexual issues and advice. Some guidelines such as no bragging about exploits and not getting to graphic would likely keep things from getting out of hand. Just a suggestion.

The Society and Culture section used to be 17+ and by subscription/application only. A moderator would have to allow access.

that was the most awesomist thread in internet history.

What would you guys think about having an invite only group for 18+ discussion? The only requirement for being part of the group would be that you agree that you are older than 18.

What does invite only mean? A member group? not a forum? where people invite you? like that?

I like this idea. It's better than not having any space to discuss such issues.

I think this would be a welcomed improvement to the forum. I'm assuming that the moderation would be a little more lax there, if that were the case? I'm not saying that rules should be broken, but that posting a expletive (in a non-sexually graphic manner) with only one asterisk should not result in an infraction in an 18+ group, for example. In any event, I believe this section would provide an outlet for some who have nowhere else to turn, and also encourage some long-time members who have been refraining from posting to feel more comfortable at SAS. Thank you.

I kind of think it is too personal to post about for me. I don't care what others do. The rules seem like they are going to be difficult to come up with. I wouldn't even know where to start with that.

I think it's a great idea. At least it gives somewhere to talk about things in a (relatively) safe environment.

I think that would be a good add to the site. That would however require a certain level of maturity from the users so that it's doesn't turn in unnecessary too graphic or a bragging forum.

As some people said before, SAers can have issues regarding sex, and sometimes the better advices can come from fellow SAers rather than from people on ordinary forums.
