Lostsoul26 speaks the truth, there are many social anxiety people on the YouTube, either with videoblogs of their experiences, or with advice videos for coping. It's a good place to find support and that.

they have balls to put themselves out ttere on youtube, it's like jumping right in the deep end. For someone who is so self conscious and worries about what people think of them, it's amazing that they can do that. I'd be pretty worried of being found out and that would make me feel vulnerable.

But then again, why should I care what people think?!!

Youtube Helped me a lot when i wasn't sure what SA was and if i had it or not, it's better than the usual bullet points of the symptoms.

Massive respect to the people on Youtube that have SA and make blogs, i'd never be able to do it and it helps other people a lot.

meh **** ego maniac tube. the only thing that i give a crap about in regards to people and socialising is what are they like face to face and when in the presence of other people. online personalitys dont mean **** to me. if you cant say it in person around a large group of diverse people than shut up the hell up coward.

This response perhaps goes against your 'relaxed' status. You see I have this little 'social anxiety' thing, which makes talking to a "large group of diverse people" a tad difficult.

I could never do a video on you tube, and get all the immature responses, you know -gay -retarded. It's like a competition in giving the worst comments. Why would I be socially accepted on you tube if I am not in reality.

I expected that, but (apart from my friends) I've gotten very nice feedback.

lol, are you serious? if you really feel this way about SA youtubers, then how do you feel about people on SAS? should we all just shut up and not log onto this forum anymore?

and if you're joking, sorry. im not good at noticing if people are being sarcastic.

I just thought that I'd refer you, sacred, to this comment:

So, don't say things to people unless it's face to face and/or around a large group of diverse people (and not on the internet too I take it), otherwise you'll annoy yourself.

Yeah the rudeness on there is totally crazy. You're right, it's like a competition!

However I still use youtube a lot. I would never put a video of myself on there, but I watch other peoples videos all the time and I find them helpful, some of them anyway. To me, just people talking about SA isn't really helpful to me, unless they talk about solutions. I already know what I've got and how it works. All I really need to do now is try to work through it.

I think you're really brave for putting yourselves out there on Youtube like that. I've enjoyed watching some of the videos of people here - it's nice to see people actually verbally talking about it.

I'd never do it though - definitely not brave enough, and I just feel weird talking aloud into a camera by myself. I wouldn't know what to say.
