Default What would you do?

So i was invited out to a bar to celibrate a friends(more aquintance tbh) birthday along with the rest of our group from college. When he asked me i mentioned that i wasn't sure how to get to the bar so he said he'd call me tommorow(tonight) and meet up and go with me. Well its a couple of hours after he said he'd be going and he hasn't called yet. He has my number so unless he took down it wrong i'm not sure whats going on. I've thought about calling him but he did say he'd call me first. This is one of the things i hate about SA i suppose the right thing to do would be to call/text him but he's probably well gone by now and i hate calling people Is this simply my SA acting up? What would a normal person do?

lols just so you know you are normal. even non-sa ppl can get nervous about this. but i would say just call him, b/c he might have left. that's happened to me a good bit - sometimes ppl just forget to call you. if he has left, are there other ways to get to a bar (taxi, bus, another friend)?

My ex would often get upset with me for not ever calling him....he always had to call me. I think you should at least try to text him...I mean it could be a misunderstanding afterall and if it were me, I would be thinking he was rude, which would make me wanna ask what was up so either I'd know he was rude and make up my view of him for future reference or find out if something happened and feel some sense of relief....I'd say text or call him.

Update from last night

First i called him a few hours later. I could hear background noise like people talking (general bar noise) but he hung up a few seconds later without me having a chance to speak.
So i texted him to say "sorry i couldn't make it" (i had no way of getting there as i'm awful with directions and it was getting late )

He hasn't texted back so now i'm all paranoid that he's pissed of with me for not calling him sooner. I even sent him an e-mail to say sorry again but still no reply. I realize now i should of taken the initiative and called him instead of waiting all night for him to call me. I suppose its another lesson learnt for me, i have to be more assertive in these situations
