Right now I'm a night auditor at a hotel. I was a manager for a bit but was demoted...twice ;>, half of the reasons were SA related. If I had the choice, I'd be in the army but I've accepted that I won't be able to adapt.
Don't let SA hold you back from what you want to do. Don't let it limit your options. I'm forced to handle SA because if I don't, I'll be out of a job but it still exists and is very noticeable. It may take awhile for co-workers to adjust to your personality, but most usually come around and accept you. |

I'm a middle school teacher and I love it. I'm fine when it comes to be in front of young students but I freak out when I'm around people around my own age.

You can have whatever career you want as long as you're determined enough.

Anything you want!!!!!!!!!!
I think it would be fun to be a high school math teacher. If I ever decide to totally throw away my career and go back to school for something completely different, that's what I would do. I love math. I'm going to school now for accounting so.. I will be an accountant. You have to put yourself out of your comfort zone and I think it helps. I started waitressing last summer and I think it has actually helped me a little bit... |

Now i'm a lab tech. My morning involves a lotta public interaction- after all we must collect the blood from somewhere.
But from 11am onward its just me and my labtools. But seriously, this is just my after-college job, until i get to Uni. Go for whatever you want my brother. |

Exactly. Don't let SA hold you back from something you would enjoy having as a career. Fight through it.

I'm going to be a nurse =] as long as I smile and seem friendly, I'll be fine. The rest of the talking is only about medical stuff- so I know what to say, instead of having to come up with it out off the top of my head. I can't wait! =]

I agree with the crew.
If you want to do something specific, try it out! But one of the jobs you could do on your own if you have SA and if you are artistic is graphic design. Mostly computer related projects. |

you can do anything you want, I have to interact with people and talk on the phone all day and it actually gets really comfortable after awhile.

Sex therapist? LOL
Ok well in all honesty it depends on how severe your SA is. I'm considering going in for a teacher next year, which is a pretty radical decision on my part, but atleast it'll force me to interact with people...which is what i desperatly need at the moment. |
