Default Time for help

I have had what I think is SA for a very long time. I am 32 years old and hold down a job with a wife and a house. I feel like I have somehow faked my way through life so far, in high school I dropped out because I could not handle sitting in a classroom. I couldn't learn at all, all i would do is sit there full of anxiety. I was able to get my GED and have a job but it requires very little interaction with people. The only people I talk to on a regular basis is my wife and mom, both of which basically just think I'm not really a people person. I worry constantly about them and it's so stressful just having those thoughts. At work I cannot sit in the lunchroom because I am so nervous around people, I don't eat all day at work. My mouth is so dry I cannot even swallow food in a cafeteria type setting. If someone does talk to me, my face immediately turns red, which then makes me feel even worse, especially when people mention it. It's getting to the point where going to work is very difficult, but I know I have obligations to my family so I will just suffer through. Sorry for telling my whole life story here, but is what I am explaining SA or am I just totally screwed up in some other way?

It does sound like an anxiety condition. Here is a book suggestion:

"Get Out of Your Mind and Into Your Life" by Steven C. Hayes. Go on amazon.com to check out some reviews to see what you think. I wish you luck.

Sounds like anxiety to me!

I've been recommending this a lot today, but I've personally found "A Guide to Rational Living" by Albert Ellis to be hugely beneficial.

Check out this video for a little info.
