Well the title says it all...
My Dad has blocked Facebook and SAS. I'm currently in college using a computer at the internet cafe. This is my last day in college. When I leave I will no longer be able to visit SAS.

I'm holding back tears as I write this. I have been crying myself to sleep for the past two nights. Before SAS I forgot how it felt to identify with other human beings. I always kept my emotions, fears, and frustrations inside of me. Visiting SAS let me reveal my true self.
It's so frustrating having my only source for support ripped away from me. I wish I could let my tears flow but I'm in a public area...
I will miss all of you.

dude that sucks, is there a close by library or something? I hope you sort something out. All the best until you make it back on sas

Thanks for responding to my post. Well there is a public library close by. But I need a car...
I might be able to come back to SAS in January when I begin a new semester.

Wow mate that is really disappointing, loved your company here. Really a shame your dad has blocked these sites, I mean you ARE an adult afterall.

Thanks. I'm an adult but I'm still dependent entirely on my parents for everything.

make it back, I havent had a lot to do with you but I definitely noticed you around the forum and always read what you had to say. I am sure I can say that you will be missed and your contribution to SAS has been noticed.

I have never confronted my Dad on why he blocked Facebook and SAS. I think he feels that I need to get out and meet people.

I don't really understand what happened? How exactly did he block those sites and more importantly, why? Is he suddenly a certified therapist, or what?
It pisses me off when this sort of crap hapens. Isn't it enoght that we sabotage ourlesves on a daily basis with this stupid anxiety?
Btw, does he know about your condition?

As I've said before, DON'T PUT UP WITH THIS. Confront him and stir up an *expletive*storm. You're an adult not a child. If my parents censored my internet access, it would probably lead to violence and sabotage of their daily lives until they just can't take any more and give in to my demands.

Can you take steps to become independent of your parents? Also, my school use to block sites like this but there is always a way to get in "backdoors" such as googling an obscure way into the site (such as googling your own posts and enter the site from there).

That sucks that he blocked SAS, but can't you take the bus to the library?

I mean, I don't know exactly where you live, your profile says that you live northeast of atlanta(isn't that Chamblee-ish?), but when I was living in Atlanta, I used MARTA to get around, I'm sure MARTA runs an adequate bus service in your area.
