Social Anxiety- The Concoction of Man- Scared To Speak or Speak Cuz You're Scared

No where else is the "disorder" so prevalent, in addition to other supposed disorders. This is a capitalist country. I suggest pinching yourself.

The American dream is "money makes you happy." It's the car, the hot woman with large breasts and a large house. Cash rules everything around me, yet I cannot often see.

Plugged into your headphones, bumping your choice of music becomes tiresome. So, you go and watch television. Wait, there's nothing fun on, I'll go play a game then or get on my iPad...

America tells us what beauty is, she tells us what a man is, what a woman is and tries to silence the conscience through entertainment. Entertainment is the action of providing or being provided with amusement or enjoyment. Provided by whom? Ask yourself. And what do they want? Your mind and, thus, easy money.

For example, I, as a man, am supposed to act a certain way or sit a certain way or walk a certain way that conveys to the mindless public that I am a man. A man, unemotional, aggressive and rugged. At the same time, I am expected to be caring, sensitive and relaxed. When I am, I am labeled a *****. Funny ain't it? Do you see the paradox? How am I supposed to behave? The cycle continues...

Then, without any moment of silence, living in fear, I look up what's wrong with me... Oh here it is... a clean cut explanation: social anxiety. Ohhh and the advertisement for the medication is right there too... Maybe I SHOULD be fearful of society.

What I am suggesting here is simple: Unplug yourself and as boredom subsides, the real entertainment will be provided, not by "higher-ups" in this case (maybe THE higher up).

on a kinda unrelated note: It's funny how the Apple products like the iPhone or iPad have I in them, going straight to the jugular and identifying the I, you, with their material. Great marketing Apple. I give that to them.

What a country... a country that's falling to its glorified feet.

Who are you?
Do you really want to be really social or is it a fantasy?
Get over yourself, it's bigger than "Social Anxiety/Phobia"

Marketing / the media is not meant to be taken literally. It is just a tool used to control all the cattle that is 99% of people. Not only Americans are cattle; the entire WORLD is cattle, they are getting the same/similar messages all across the globe, not just here.

It's always been this way. Without a way to control society humanity would resort to its baser desires, chaos would ensue. Thankfully we have things like religon, media, goverment, polititians, police etc etc etc. Without these we would never be able to live our controlled - yet pretty peaceful + comfy - lives.

I can't complain. Know why? Because I can't think of a better way to do things, can you? Sure we can throw out idealistic situations but the world is far from ideal, if we were given these seats of power we would, more likely then not, end up driving the world into oblivion far far faster then our current leaders are. We cannot see the problems / situations they face because we are not part of that world; we are just cattle.

I don't mind being cattle. I pick and choose what rules I follow and do what I see fit. I don't fear a God or the law, however I'm not going to make it my life goal to go against these things. I'm just a cow living my life in a way I see fit, just like you are, just like we all are. You can say how your a individual or whatever... no your not. Your cattle, just like everyone else. Your allowed to voice opinions like this because they are not dangerous because people really just don't give a **** about being cattle.

Of course this is not happening just in America, but the U.S. is a huge influence and a great example, is it not?

When you look at nature, animals don't really have a society, yet they are not resorting to chaos, I don't see how you can make that leap. We wouldn't have evolved to this point if chaos followed an uncontrolled group of people. People inherently, without much input from the external, have a conscience. The media dilutes it. It makes it so we cannot hear our conscience clearly.

And you are right, I am not an individual. There is no I. I don't exist. What part of me defines me? I am not in control, we as a whole are more of an identity. I am a cell in the body, you are another. We are together. We are we. Capitalist (almost always individualistic) countries promote individuality, which does not exist. Then the ego is created, separating me from you. But we are no different. Cattle? F.uck that, I am no cattle. I am no one. We are only cattle in the sense that we are not in control. We can accept that or not. When we do things turn out just right don't they?

You do have a choice though: Go with the essence or think that you're some cattle that is in control.

Here's an interesting question for you: if a man will ultimately give into his pleasures and resort to chaos then why should we be controlled by man?

Great post, but you need to tell me what "unplugging yourself" means.

When I take myself away from entertainment, I find myself creating my own entertainment by literally creating my own media - but everything I listen to and see now is expressive for its own sake. Nothing commercial.

Is that what you mean? Unplugged from commercialism and the "over-mind" of society? Or something else?

Thanks

Yea man, you're on point. Isn't it more fun when you're creating your own media?

To elaborate, unplug yourself from the matrix, the commercialism. For example, today I had an MRI and I asked whether people felt uncomfortable in the machine. The doctor said, almost everyone was. You basically lay there for 30 minutes to an hour. Just you and your thoughts. People don't like staying still, especially in the U.S. and capitalist countries. It's hard for people to face their thoughts and their shadow, but when they do and overcome that anxious emotion, they see that the thoughts are just bull****. Then, your intuition takes over as thoughts subside. I find that when I am in an intuitive mode, I am in bliss. The intuition is the truth, the thoughts are just concoctions. Sentences, words, letters, phonemes. Society makes those up.
