No where else is the "disorder" so prevalent, in addition to other supposed disorders. This is a capitalist country. I suggest pinching yourself.
The American dream is "money makes you happy." It's the car, the hot woman with large breasts and a large house. Cash rules everything around me, yet I cannot often see.
Plugged into your headphones, bumping your choice of music becomes tiresome. So, you go and watch television. Wait, there's nothing fun on, I'll go play a game then or get on my iPad...
America tells us what beauty is, she tells us what a man is, what a woman is and tries to silence the conscience through entertainment. Entertainment is the action of providing or being provided with amusement or enjoyment. Provided by whom? Ask yourself. And what do they want? Your mind and, thus, easy money.
For example, I, as a man, am supposed to act a certain way or sit a certain way or walk a certain way that conveys to the mindless public that I am a man. A man, unemotional, aggressive and rugged. At the same time, I am expected to be caring, sensitive and relaxed. When I am, I am labeled a *****. Funny ain't it? Do you see the paradox? How am I supposed to behave? The cycle continues...
Then, without any moment of silence, living in fear, I look up what's wrong with me... Oh here it is... a clean cut explanation: social anxiety. Ohhh and the advertisement for the medication is right there too... Maybe I SHOULD be fearful of society.
What I am suggesting here is simple: Unplug yourself and as boredom subsides, the real entertainment will be provided, not by "higher-ups" in this case (maybe THE higher up).
on a kinda unrelated note: It's funny how the Apple products like the iPhone or iPad have I in them, going straight to the jugular and identifying the I, you, with their material. Great marketing Apple. I give that to them.
What a country... a country that's falling to its glorified feet.
Who are you?
Do you really want to be really social or is it a fantasy?
Get over yourself, it's bigger than "Social Anxiety/Phobia"
