Default Pacing

Does anyone else pace? I can't seem to control myself. I don't notice I'm doing it, it's a total habit. I realize it looks ridiculous. I don't normally do it in public but sometimes if I'm standing I'll suddenly go, oooooooooops. My parents have told me it looks really bad, people have commented about it but I just seem to have this energy, and I guess this is how I get rid of it ...

I think I've been doing this all my life. One of my earliest memories is of pacing around the hallway of the house I grew up in.

But if I'm to be properly socialized, I really must break this habit. Maybe if I exercised more.

Yeah. I'm usually all hopped up on caffeine and have to be doing SOMETHING even if I have nothing to do. It can be a nervous habit too.

Yeah. It beats playing with scissors. If I get a decent workout I won't pace, however, so you're onto something with the exercise bit.

OMG I do that two. If i'm having anxiety or if I get deep in thought I tend to pace.

i tend to pace when i'm on the phone. thats when its the most uncontrolable for me... i would pace when i meet new people, but i try as hard as i can to stand in place...

Yeah, I do it all the time when anxious. It is hard to control. Moving my legs/tapping my feet on the floor is another thing I do a lot.
