Sleeping too much always makes me even more sleepy.
![]() Lately I've been having the opposite problem. I can't sleep! |

Is going to bed at 10am your normal sleep schedule? Have you gotten regular sleep the past few days? Have you been doing a lot of physical activity? Are you depressed? Have you been stuck in your house lately? Have you started any new medication?

yeah why do you go to bed at 10 am? Lol that's not very normal, unless you are on night shifts. But usually I sleep a LOT when I am depressed or when I am eating lots of junk food and not looking after myself. Or I sleep a lot if I have a lot going on, i.e. constantly having to do something, clean, tons of homework, and so fourth. I get burnt out, and depressed, so I sleep because I'm tired and also so that I can somehow prolong facing the day lol... I sleep in a lot to say the least.

Hypersomnia. Depression and anxiety as well as some meds can cause it. Sometimes just a messed up sleeping schedule will do it or too little sunlight during the day. If you sleep too long you feel more tired and depressed so you want to just keep sleeping. Your brain misses that wake up signal it's suppose to get. Which incidentally the main thing that signals us to wake up is serotonin. The same thing that improves your mood and helps treat depression and anxiety. Mental illnesses and sleep are very much related.
