Default New med combo- any opinions??

I have battled with social anxiety for as long as I can remember and only recently have attempted to get it under my control. My doctor put me on 50 mg of Zoloft which I gradually increased to 150 mg. Unfortunatley, I have only felt side effects from it. Today he instructed me to cut back to 100 mg of Zoloft and add Wellbutrin. For some reason, I do not have high expectations that this will help and feel a little hopeless at the moment. Has anyone tried this combo before or have any suggestions? My doctor says that if this does not help we will have to consult a psychiatrist and I really don't want to do that at this point!

From my experience it is good to go with the advice of one's doctor because usually they know what works best. It took a long time for the doctors to find a combo that worked for me, but they finally did . So stick with it until you guys find a combo that's works for you.

And therapy isn't so bad, in fact I find very helpful.

Wellbutrin usually gives me anxiety when I first take it. Zoloft and klonipan would have been a better choice. And people usually start at 25mg then go to 50 mg of klonipan

I hope you mean zoloft because that's a hell of a lot of Klonopin.

Anyway, I don't see how Wellbutrin would be helpful for social anxiety. If anything, it might make it worse. I don't think that it had any effect on mine.
