Try stopping smoking for a few months, and I'm pretty sure things will improve.

I don't mean to ask impertinent or silly questions, but have you been diagnosed with this by a doctor?

If medication is an option depends on the severity of the psychosis. Stop smoking and things will improve.

I couldnt figure out what was wrong with me. I searched all night on the internet and recently had to stop smoking weed cold turkey after smoking 2 years straight with maybe 3 days off in those 2 years. It is the only plausible disorder I could have and I have no idea how I am going to recover from it.

Stop smoking. The symptoms won't go away overnight. It will likely take a while before you start to feel "normal" again.

I strongly urge you to get a professional second opinion, btw.

I have had similar problems with marijuana in the past. Some people are more prone than others to cannabis-induced psychosis.

The fact that you have some insight is a good sign. I don't know much about cannabis-induced psychosis in particular (I know a lot about psychosis in general), but I am wondering why medication is not an option. If it makes any difference to your decision, I doubt you would have to be on medication for very long... antipsychotics being to relieve agitation within a day, and within a few days, you should notice some of your psychotic symptoms begin to dissolve.

Your best bet is to talk to a doctor about it. Not sure if you already saw this article, but this may provide some insight:

All I know is when I began smoking it relaxed me, by the time I quit it just made me paranoid as hell, maybe it's just time for you to move on. If you think it's that important to you then go see your doc about it's effects

Though rare, cannabis can be a trigger for schizophrenia. You really need to talk to a doctor about this and yes you probably will have to go on medication.
