Default Good, depressing songs?

I have a weakness for sad, mellow songs, like....

gary jules - madworld
stone sour - bother
elliott smith - miss misery
nine inch nails - something i can never have
sum 41 - pieces
seether - the gift
nick drake - day is done

.. that kinda thing.
anyone know any others?

I don't know who sings this, and it's not what I'd call mellow--rather it's loud and sounds good loud, but here are some of the words:

I put my trust in you
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
But there's something you should know---

I tried so hard
and got so far
But in the end
It doesn't even matter

This song is depressing but I actually feel good when I listen to it.

anything by Say Anything. Max Bemis is bipolar and has SA and it's super easy to relate to what he's writing (at least for me). Amazing dude.

Oh I have the same weakness!

My favourites are :

My Skin
Effigy - both by Natalie Merchant
Nicest Thing - Kate Nash
Iris - Goo Goo dolls

Not sure if they're properly depressing but I like 'em.

Just about anything from Sentenced. They're a bit too melodramatic for me sometimes (almost to the point of self satire), but they have good songs if you're really depressed or sad.

It's called 'In the End' and it's by Linkin Park...actually my favorite song by them
Pretty much any Dashboard Confessional song can bring up some emotion out of me....also, Relient K. As far as individual songs:
Morning Calls, Screaming Infidelities, Rapid Hope Loss, So Long So Long etc by DC
Missing, Hello, My Immortal, Good Enough, Like You etc by Evanescence
Blue and Yellow-The Used
Yours To Hold-Skillet
Bother-Stone Sour
Only The Strong Survive-Flaw
Remember-Disturbed
and quite a few just musical pieces from some of my favorite games bring out my sad feelings

Agreed.

Also, "The Golden Age" by Beck and most things from The Cure.
