Talking Does anyone else feel theyve been taken off auto pilot?

you know how we go through most of life and were kind of on auto pilot? like we get up do what we have to and go to bed without thinking too much about whats outside this bubble we live on.well i feel like ive been removed from myself and im like looking at myslef from the "outside in" its so hard to explain.i get that very surreal feeling like "wow im here?" doing this? at this moment? idk its like i lived up until now on auto pilot and ive woken up? i question everything like reality.i have suffered from derealistaion but im getting over that now

I think I've experienced this in 2 ways.

1st was when I was around 15, I woke up one day and realized that my life was heading downhill very fast. I had lived my whole life up until that point on auto-pilot when it comes to socializing: don't say much, don't draw too much attention, go through school and life like anybody else (just way quieter). Then when people started to get turned off by my quietness, I started getting more and more depressed and more and more anxious.

2nd time was probably around the beginning of last semester, when I started following politics for this upcoming election (my first time voting). I had never really followed politics before that, anything I knew about it I learned in history classes in school. That's when I woke up, again, and realized that this world and this country is politically ****ed up. While before, I never really payed attention and assumed our political leaders were doing all that they could economically and politically, save the corruption and greed of about half of them, but the rest I thought were genuinely doing a good job. Oh how wrong I was lol.

I also every now and then wonder about my existence, and how pointless it is in the grand scheme of things. Like "wow, I'm a living, growing, human being among billions, and my life could end at any time. interesting." lol
