Social Anxiety Support

I met them yesterday and I was really awkward but it was his birthday so I dealt with it.. But this morning he asked me if I wanna go over to his Moms for a bbq and I want to go just so I don't mess up what we have but... UGH I am so nervous and awkward around people I get all sweaty and my mind gets all boggled. I dont even want to sit down or talk or anything I just wanna recluse... My boyfriend lives 180 miles from me so he only came down for this weekend to see me and now I am acting like this... I hate this feeling what can I do...

Go. Practice makes perfect. There will he other boyfriends and you will meet their families as well. Hopefully they have an ac but if its a BBQ its probably gonna be outside. I sweat when I am uncomfortable as well. Its gotten better though because I know exercise daily and cut out sodium filled foods. That reply helps with unwanted sweating.

If you want to survive this, I suggest staying with your boyfriend at all times.. He can introduce you to people and such without you having to do it yourself.
