Default As a social phobic, how can I improve maintaining eye contact in social situations?

I generally don't have any problems making eye contact when others are talking. My main concern is making eye contact when I'm talking. I find it is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to articulate my thoughts when looking someone in the eye, because I'm very sensitive to nonverbal cues of dissaproval, rejection, irritation, annoyance, that they're not listening, that they're laughing at me, etc.

Default

Start by keeping eye contact until it becomes uncomfortable, then continue for a little longer than you otherwise would and stop. Keep doing this over and over again and you will build up the length of time you can look at someone.
