Hi guys, its my first post. I look forward to meeting alot of cool people who understand what the hell I've been going through. I'm 27, live in Houston, and people call me Justin. I believe I suffer from SAD. I can remember being shy and feeling out of place ever since I can remember, my first memory of this feeling is like 1st grade. Bits and parts. My Doctor, who I don't really like, prescribed me Lexapro almost two years ago when I first told her of my symptoms. I feel alot of doctors don't care and just want to push drugs out on us. I hope to quit taking the Lexapro soon. I also have had a problem self medicating with pain pills because the opiates seemed to, well at first they seemed to cure my "symptoms" of being so shy and unsosocial, but now I know they were just hiding feelings I need to feel. So yah I've been struggeling with that addiction for the last two years too. I want to remain sober and find another way to deal with SAD and hopefully becoming a member of this forum will help.

I like your name. I'm a person who almost compulsively moves house every year, so it instantly caught my eye, lol.

Sorry to hear about your doctor, I think they are similar everywhere. I think it's terrible to push drugs on somebody rather than listening to him!
