Default Hi, it's 2am here...

I've been waking up around these hours a lot lately. My anxiety is getting to me again and this time I have decided to do something about it! Well, to start off here, I'm 18 and have never really been to this kind of forum before. I'm not officially diagnosed or anything, but I experience all the symptoms. I always worry about my future, and I feel severely limited to my choices in life because of my social anxiety. I don't want my life to be defined by this. I feel that joining this site is going to help me take the first step into progress and I'm hoping it will be therapeutic for me and help me come to terms with this.

Welcome to the site - I am new myself. It's great to hear that despite your anxiety you are motivated to change - this is really important. When I was a teenager I suffered quite badly with social anxiety - now I am a very assertive, confident person who gives presentations weekly (previously my biggest fear). It is possible to overcome anxiety, it's not easy but it's achievable. Keep us updated!

Thanks! One of my goals with overcoming this is to get over my public-speaking fears. I've had really bad school presentations before and now that I'm heading off to college I'm going to have to face this problem head on. It's nice to know that getting over this is possible.

Lissyu, I never had a onesie to do that with my dog - he was a tan cocker spaniel. What a panic!

Welcome to SAS!

It's a cute pic, but it's not mine. I wish it was though, I really want a pet! I came across this image when I was browsing around online. It never fails to make me smile.

It's cute, but the little guy would be totally uncomfortable it that. He could hurt himself when trying to walk with the covered feet, and could overheat since he's already got a permanent outfit on (that NEVER goes out of style )
