Default hi

I could have sworn I had something to say, but i guess i already put my guard up that fast so i'll just blurt out something safe and generic like i usually do.

hi, i have SA and i'm new to SAS forums! Ok bye!

...or... Maybe if i try hard enough can push out something sincere that might reveal a little more about myself...

Okay, here goes... Well, social anxiety sucks. No, social anxiety really sucks. Actually, it's the most putrid, atrocious, overwhelmingly debilitating disease imaginable. It really wears me out sometimes.
I've read some of the posts here I can relate that sometimes it can really make a person's life feel pretty darn miserable. I was in a clinical trial for social anxiety medications a few years back and after talking to one of the psychiatrists they put me on suicide watch. Go figure i was just living my life as usual and had the chance to share my experience and someone has to tell me that's not just awkward teenage angst but a life so depressing i should be hospitalized for it. I guess isolating myself for so long from everyone else really took its toll on my perspectives.

I've been through a bunch of therapy since then and mustered up the energy to get out and get to know the world I had never been able to fully experience hiding away in my safe little hermit cave. I think I've made some progress (with my eyes adjusting to the light and everything, ) but school's been on break and I've sort of regressed back into hermitage and I'm feeling my old demons creeping up on me again.

So, I decided to combat the loneliness by joining this forum! So again hello, and down with SA :P
