Social Anxiety Support

My name is Kat, and I'm so glad I found this forum. I was doing some random internet searches for more information on Social Anxiety and came across this very active forum. I was diagnosed with SA last week by my counselor and he suggested I seek the use of antidepressants. I've seen counselors on and off since I was 12 and have been prescribed 3 different SSRIs which didn't help. It has been suggested I use an "antidepressant" again, but I'm not so sure of it since they've never helped before.

I started seeking therapy because I'm in college and my social anxiety makes me afraid to go to class. I'll talk about that more in a different section of the forum though.

I really need some support and I think I found a good place to speak with people who truly understand.
