Social Anxiety Support

This is my very first time on this site but i feel like i need to do something.
Im 18 and just started going to college.
I dont feel like i have any friends and its really hard to talk to people. On the rare occation someone talks to me i become extreamly nervous and I start to sweat, and my face becomes hot and red. This adds to the embaracement so i usually just add small words to the conversation. Every word i say i feel like the person thinks im stupid, does not believe me or thinks that i look retarted.
When i was younger i was diagnosed with depression and bipolar. I do not believe eather were correct. I think that it is anxiety. I wish that i had someone who could relate to me because it feels like no one could ever go through what i am.
I wish that i could talk to others and make new friends. Even at work,the people i see every day, i just cant continue conversations without feeling uncomfortable. And being alone with others is shear hell! I would much rather just not make friends but i am feel like i need someone. I wish i could just be normal!

yea im sure they do understand but it really feels like im the only one going through it. I feel isolated from the world.
