Social Anxiety Support

Hello to all. Just thought it would be interesting to check out the site - it's somewhat reassuring to know there are others out there going through the same stuff. I am a 45 y.o. male, married, work, but seems the older I get the less I can stand people! I am extremely introverted and like to keep to myself; we rarely go anywhere except church and out to eat. No social craving at all and I LIKE it that way! Meeting strangers is OK but once I get to know people I clam up when things start to get competitive or if there is any presence of drama. One of my favorite lines is "How can I miss you if you won't go away?" I have that saying on my PC at work. Anyway, hope to get a lot out of the site but can't check in every day. I welcome E-mails or comments. Hope everyone has a good night...

Thanks Matty - yeah, I'm pretty good with the way things are. I have pretty much learned to accept me as I am and I now know that it's just the way I am. We have to learn to accept ourselves and not try to fit into the mold others expect us to fit in. Kinda like that saying "You are really unique, just like everyone else" Thanks again for the welcome...
