I might walk around downtown during the fireworks. Most likely I'll stay home, though. I used to set off fireworks, but I didn't buy any this year.

I'm going to a friend's place in Darmstadt with two other friends. It will be the first Fourth I've celebrated since 2005. I'm never "home" in the summer.

Have a nice day,
Kelly

Going to watch Independence Day and see the big ten-mile diameter alien spaceships destroy everything with their pretty blue lasers of death and destruction, and subsequently wish I could pilot one of those ships.

Eating watermelon and corn on the cob, watching fireworks with two friends.

I live a short metro distance from DC and could go see the fireworks if I wanted to, but the traffic and metro crowding are unbelievable.
Anyways I'm trying to finish my research paper and power point presentation.

I'm staying at home. My mom wants to too. (Hm, they do say anxiety is hereditary... )

People light off fireworks in my neighborhood. I'll probably just watch from my deck.

I am sooooo happy, I just talked to my sister and I got out of having to go down there (30 miles away) today or tomorrow. My 4th of July just got better.

First off if I had to go today it would have been at noon and I wouldn't have been able to leave until after fireworks tonight at 9 which would have put me home way after 10 pm and I don't want to feel stuck down there that long. I mean I love my family but 2 hours is my maximum allowed limit with them for it to be enjoyable.

She invited me to go to a bbq that SHE had been invited too lol... I told her uhhh... no... I'm not going to a bbq that your son's neighbor invited them to that they invited you to that you are inviting me to - what are people thinking. Am I just to weird in thinking that is not a proper thing to do?

Mostly I just don't want to go anywhere, specifically drive anywhere on 4th of July weekend with all the drinking and driving going on and the crowds and traffic everywhere. I live in a tourist area and everyone comes here for the 4th.:

So she asked if I wanted to come down tomorrow and I told her that if they came up to my place tomorrow I would cook, so they agreed - yay... that was a good move.

So now all I have to do is start a pot of spaghetti sauce... and let it cook today in the crock pot and in the morning after Church make some noodles and garlic bread... we may even eat outside if it isn't too miserably hot.

I bought $30 worth of fireworks so my son and I can do them here at home... just the two of us. He understands about the crowded roads and the people drinking and driving cause of the holiday so I think he will be ok to just watch the fireworks on TV tonight... from inside an a/c living room. NICE.

I was supposed to play in a 4th of July celebration with my community band, but I just found out it was cancelled due to rain. So now, nothing.

Not going to D.C. for once. I hate the crowds and the metro is pure hell! Full of stinky sweaty people. I've been there many times before so this 4th of July I'll be at home watching the fireworks on t.v. and just hanging out with my family.

I just watched the fireworks in New York on TV. Its way better than the ones in D.C - I'll have to go there for the 4th of july one year.

Was planning on going out to watch and photograph fireworks, but couldn't decide between two shows in the local area. Well, it ended up raining most of the evening. The first one got rescheduled for tomorrow, and then the second one got rescheduled to earlier than originally planned and it was too late for me to make it. Good stuff.

I actually went out...alone of course, to the fireworks show. Supposidely 20,000 people show up for this event each year, and I swear I was the only person alone there. I felt a bit awkward.
