Default Who's Hiring?

I'm trying to find a job, but it's so hard to know where to apply. So anyone have any suggestions.

I know they may not have stores or places here, that they may have where you live. But it doesn't matter to me, i just need places, any kind of places to apply. I'll k now which one's to apply to, and which one's not to apply to if i know that the store or place isn't in my near by area.

Please don't say, "your local...." anything along the lines of that, just give me the exact name, so i can apply.

thanks in advance.

Would you consider something like the Air Force or Air National Guard? Was active duty for over 15+ years and got me away from my backwoods town.

Fedex is hiring. I work at Fedex as a package handler and today there was a huge line of applicants when I went to work. Be warned though I hate my job, and working at Fedex feels like going to a torture chamber everyday. Only apply there if you are really desparate for a job. You have to lift 50lb boxes and load them into a trailer at a rate of 420 per hour. When it's slow it's just really boring, but when it's really busy it's absolute hell. For the first few weeks you will be sore everyday.

Alot of place should be hiring right now though because the holiday season is coming up. You might try applying online to any major stores that you can think of like Target or Home depot. Most of the big stores only accept online applications. Or I think you go inside the store and they have a computer you apply at. But I know you can apply at Home depot online because I have done that. You can also apply at UPS online. With UPS you just fill out your info online and then they set up an appointment for you to come in an interview. I did that but didn't get hired. But working at UPS is probably just as bad as fedex.

Any major chain retailer like Target, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, JC Penneys, Macy's, Menards, Dillards, Petco, Petsmart, Borders, and Hobby Lobby would be a good place to start. Most of these places will have online applications.

You can also try fast food like McDonalds, Wendys, Burger King, and Taco Bell. You can make more money working nights or swing shifts.

Telemarketing and customer service call centers also are always hiring. You will need to do a little research to see what companies operate in your area. Some have paid training, so even if you find that you hate the job you can get some temporary cash just for taking a training course.

Try snagajob.com they list all the job openings in your local area.

UPS, Pizza Hut, movie theaters, Michael's are hiring. I think you'd have a great shot at getting a job at a retail store since the holidays are coming up.

If you don't think you'd mind cleaning up after old folks, nursing homes are always hiring entry-level nurse aides. After you get certified, you can make around $12-$14 an hour. And some hospitals will pay for you to go to nursing school if you sign a work contract with them. But it's a very dirty, demanding job starting off as an aide. I couldn't handle it.
