Default Where did my tennis ball go?

Due to freezing rain, I was unable to take my dog out for her nightly walk, as is our usual custom. Instead, I decided to give the dog a little exercise by throwing a tennis ball around the house. I decided to throw the ball into the kitchen. I saw the dog pursue the tennis ball around the corner and into the kitchen. Then, I heard the confused click-click of her nails on the kitchen floor as she looked in vain for the ball. After a minute, I went into the kitchen to find the ball.

The kitchen is very small. I didn't see the ball on the floor. I checked under the fridge (the ball was too small to fit under it) and under the microwave stand. I searched amongst the cookbooks on the microwave stand shelf. I searched the counter tops, even though the ball wasn't thrown with enough energy to hop up on the counter. The ball didn't go down the drain. The dog didn't eat the ball.

I'm convinced the ball went into the kitchen; I'm convinced the ball isn't there now. Is it possible the ball simply ceased to exist? If balls can cease to exist, is it possible that cars or even people can cease to exist after turning a corner?

It's probably hidden under a table or may have gotten into a cabinet . I say, keep looking.

Dogs (I remember mine) are known to remember where things are a month later!

Did you look on top of the fridge? It probably went somewhere weird and will turn up in a few months.

Ther was a momentary opening in the space-time continuum and the ball is now on object of religious fervour for a village of aboriginal beings on the other side of the galaxy. It's a good thing that the dog didn't go skidding through as well!

I was thinking along those lines, too. I was thinking maybe beings from another dimension happened to open a wormhole in the kitchen just as Sadie was chasing the ball. Thinking that the ball must be of great value because it was being pursued by such a terrible beast, the beings quickly snatched the ball and closed the wormhole. The saliva-covered ball is now displayed in a museum, with a card that reads: treasures of the Earth.

I thought I was the only one that had a black hole in my house where everything disappears into and never return.

It ended up in that greedy parallel universe, the one with all the extra socks.

It's a tragedy when a man loses one of his balls.

When they're the size of tennis balls, you can afford to lose one.

Oh please Don!!!!!! What kind of theory is that????

Obviously, it entered a wormhole to the Delta Quadrant, just like starship Voyager did.

No, no, no... It ascended into the 4th dimension and became a hypersphere. It's still there, you just just can't interact with it because you're a lowly 3 dimensional creature.

If a man's secure enough to throw one of his balls for the dog to chase, I don't think it really matters if one gets lost or not.

I'm guessing a ghost snatched it up and transported it to the astral plane.
