I started working here (lets call it California Spine Specialists) in Sep 2005. The company was making about $800k-$900k a month. There were some new managers hired and slowly the company started making more money. By 2008, we were up to $1.9M. Then on 10/08 it was announced that the company was sold to (lets call them) Christian Indigent Healthcare (CIH for short), one of the top 8 largest not-for-profit hospital systems in the US. They officially took over in Dec 2008. We kept the same business name but now its CIH California Spine Specialists. Letterheads, paychecks, e-mail signatures, everything had CIH in front of it now.
At the sametime CIH took over, a new CEO was hired and she in turn hired a new manager for our department. Our department handles billing, the money coming in from insurances, attorneys, patients, etc. This manager is not new to the company or the position. From what I was told, shortly before I started working here in 2005, she was let go as manager for doing a poor job. Since we were bought out by CIH, our monthly monies went down to $1.1-$1.2M a month. A few weeks ago we were told to remove CIH from our letterheads, e-mail signatures, etc. After 10 months of having CIH on the name, why do you suppose they want us to remove it now?
