I have a friend who has given birth to her son (her delivery was due to be provoked today), and I'm lacking of ideas on what would be appropriate gift to give to her and her husband. I bought a card and I was thinking of giving some cash money (like 30$), but it's kinda dull and boring, so I'm calling for suggestions.

Clothes are always very popular, I recieved a great deal. But I would stay away from
that, mainly because I didn't use much of the clothes given to me (too big/small, too ugly, etc). If you choose to give clothing, do it in gift certificate form. Or socks, baby socks are always missing and there can never be enough (seriously). The gifts I really enjoyed getting were books for my little guy. He loves them and reading is such an important thing. Most people tend to forget to give books Another option is to find out what she still needs? |

My first thought was clothes, but I'm sure everyone is going to give them clothes. I would say to talk to someone at one of those baby places and see what they suggest.
