Default Describe your canteen food

At my college, the hot food is pretty awful and a complete "bump" as they would call it here. It's pretty much plain and overcooked and you get the most minute proportions for a huge amount of money. It is also incredibly hot and you end up havign to wait 5 minutes after you buy the food before you can eat it. That, or risk burning your tongue. Some of the cold food is quite nice though (but still a complete ripoff) such as the baguettes but the sandwiches are what you would call "dry".

Anyone else relate/share?

In secondary school it was, to put it mildly, just awful. The worst part was that you couldn't go home to eat during lunch or anything like that.

Food at college... well, I never really tried it (not even once!) - even though I've been there for just over a year. I usually buy some sandwich from tesco or just go home (depending on my timetable).

Heh lucky. I renvy people who can just go home and eat which is definitely not a possibility for me.

I have tried the chips in my college.. they were £1 and you got quite alot.. they were okay. Most of the other food is too expensive.. £1.80 for a sandwich.. i just bring my own food in, it's cheaper and tastes better!
