I was never much interested in or played sports as a kid, and my family was not really in to them either. They know a little about them, but don't watch games.
As I've gotten older I've tried to take an interest in them and keep up with sports and wear sports items, sort of to fit in. I was wondering if anyone else does that or is it particularly a bad thing? Maybe more people do that then I realize.
I've never been into playing sports (my bad attitude also meant that when I did play a sport my coaches were constantly mad at me, which made me get back at them by playing bad, so it was a vicious cycle) but I do enjoy watching sports, especially football and baseball
Nope. Never. Though I do show interest in the Super Bowl, but only because I like to bet huge wads of cash on it. Otherwise, I couldn't careless about sports.
haha vincephil is totally right. love being able to surprise guys with my sports knowledge when there's nothing else to talk about at the moment. though i actually truly love playing and watching them.
Used to be a big sports fan. Nowadays I look up stats, watch highlights and play fantasy basketball. It's mostly NBA highlights though, and occasionally UFC, boxing and NFL highlights if they get a lot of views on YouTube. Just wanna see what everybody else is watching. lol
As for full games, I'll try to catch some playoff NBA if I'm free, definitely the Finals. And if I'm free I'll watch some postseason NFL or the Superbowl.
i don't have time to watch sports.. i'm too busy studying, exercising, and i can't sit for long periods of time on a couch watching people with magnificent physiques - when i could be working on my own.
I actually love observing guys talk to each other in that "male language" when it comes to sports.
All my SO has to do is walk up to the bag boy at a grocery store during the super bowl, and say: "What's the score?" and there they go!! :lol
I, personally, am very lame, so i don't even pretend when it comes to sports? But when i speak with men? Actually, the last thing in the world we talk about is sports.
I don't keep up with sports at all. Anytime someone tries to talk sports with me I just agree with what they say and go along. So many people assume that if you are a guy that you keep up with sports.
I've been all over the country and I've learned to always stay on top of local sports. Especially when the local team is doing well, there are a lot of sports-related conversations. I do indicate my personal favorites when the situations allow. At work, for example, I give people a hard time when 'their' team has a bad night. I'm also quick to brag when my team does well. It helps that I'm in a community with people from across the country. There are other settings in which picking on the local team might not work so well.
