Default Any ex-Military here?

I've been tossing around the idea in my head of joining the military. I've been laid-off and unemployed for a long time and don't have much going on right now, nothing to tie me down. Can't find a decent job anywhere. Anyone here ever served? Would you recommend it? What's it like for someone with SA to enter the military and go through that initial culture shock? I'd imagine it would be pretty rough adjusting to a life where you have no privacy and constantly being scrutinized and evaluated by officers. Of course, if you're on active duty somewhere, SA would become the least of your worries very quickly.

Default

Type in "military" in the search function and you'll get a lot of these types of threads. Not sure how long this link will last, but here are a bunch of similar threads.
