Default Give me some TV shows to watch...

Been nothing good on TV for a while now...

I'm open to anything, as long as I can find it on the internet somewhere

Stuff I have watched:
The Sopranos
Big Bang Theory

Have you seen Peep Show? That's pretty good if it's your kind of humour.

I highly recommend:

How I Met Your Mother (drama, comedy)
Criminal Minds (police drama)
Misfits (drama, comedy, sci-fi)
Shameless/US version (family drama)
Parenthood (family drama)
Community (comedy)

oh, and Supernatural (first two seasons) - a guilty pleasure

You seem to like realistic/crime shows on HBO.

The Wire.

It's on almost every single Top 10 tv show list.

And if you can learn to separate and not compare it to the UK version, try the US version of The Office.

Have you seen trailer park boys?

It helps if you're baked.

Peep show is good, first four or five are the best but it's still watchable.

Also have you seen "it's always sunny in philadelphia?" it's class. It's this american show about these three dudes who own a bar in Philly, the uncle is played by Danny De-Vito. It's hilarious, and pretty widespread if you know where to get it!

I recommend (although all I think have been said before):
The Wire
The Walking Dead
Six Feet Under
Breaking Bad
True Blood
Game of Thrones (not watched this myself yet as I want to get through the books first, but I've heard good things!)

Stuff i've watched that's pretty awesome:

Firefly (sci-fi with kind of a western theme)
Arrested Development (comedy)
Community (comedy)
Supernatural (uh.. supernatural)
The Walking Dead (zombies!)
Battlestar Galactica (sci-fi, remake, tis good except for the end)
Game of Thrones (fantasy, only 2 eps so far, but i'm liking it)
True Blood (vampires, only watched S1 and 2, but was entertaining)
Lost (... i don't know. Watch it for the characters and emotion, don't expect answers for everything, you'll be disappointed)

Things people tell me are good but i haven't seen:
Breaking Bad
Sons of Anarchy
The Killing
The Wire
House

Co-sign the Wire and Arrested Development. AD should be your number one priority if you haven't seen it.

Merlin!!

You can watch season one and season two on Hulu, (series premire: http://www.hulu.com/watch/78885/merlin-the-dragons-call#x-0,vepisode,1,0)and some of season 3 can be found on youtube. Season 3 ended a few weeks ago in the US.

EDIT: ALTHOUGH, THE SERIES PREMIERE itself is not as good as the rest of the series itself is

What I love about the show is the relationship between young Merlin and young Arthur, Merlin's his servant and friend, and all the action, and how the legend of Excalibur, and Guinevere/Arthur/Lancelot etc plays out in the show, all the creatures, the foes, it's like my top show right now since Lost.

Yeah, Arrested Development is a really funny show, you should watch that too

I can second the recommendations for Battlestar Galactica and Lost. Game of Thrones is looking good so far as well, but I haven't read the books so I don't know how it compares to them.

And I'm repeating my House recommendation. Apart from season 7 (which is still good), there isn't a single flaw in it, unless you don't like mostly-formulaic, episodic shows (the actual medical stories are just vehicles for the awesomeness that is the title character anyway).
