Looks badass. I've been looking forward to this one for a while. The fight at the end...whoa. I read they were trying not to make this Avengers 3 while at the same time making the movie seem big and to the scale the story needs.
Little worried. The friendships and doing what's right is good and all, but I thought the trailer would speak to a bigger picture of all of (Earthbound) MCU. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Omg I'm so ****ing excited for this one. I love this story arc and the trailer makes it look like they're going to handle it so well. It's so far away though!!
There's supposedly a mole on Iron Man's side and I'm unsure who it is. Black Widow seems too obvious. Me thinks Vision will jump sides, whether he's the mole or not, because of Wanda, Scarlet Witch. They're totally going to evolve their relationship in this movie, I think.
As for the intro to Black Panther: pretty cool. "On your left" is what he should be saying to Cap with how fast he was going. I'm hoping he's Panther God spirit-imbued. Which would make him superhuman and make sense to why he's outrunning Cap. Also, kicking some major super-soldiers' asses. I kinda wish they'd have kept him hidden or something. A surprise for the movie, like they seem to be doing with Spider-Man. Hopefully no future trailer show's Spidey, but big movies like to show their hand before the chips settle, so we'll see.
That Winter Soldier/Captain America bashing Iron Man scene. Yes. More of that. Lol.
@ JustThisGuy That's alright. I can deal with a brickwall. :bash
It's disappointing that they waited this long to fit Black Panther into the MCU. It's like if DC didn't include Green Lantern in a Justice League movie. He feels like a core member of the Avengers to me. I suppose it's the same with Ant-Man and Wasp. T'Challa is a more interesting character IMO. Better late than never though.

Did you know that Ryan Reynold's Green Lantern was supposed to launch the DCCU, not Man of Steel? But since it did so poorly that they tossed it in the trash. Now we have to wait till 2020. Heh. Well...maybe. Me thinks we'll get a Green Lantern (Hal? John? Kyle?) for one of the Justice League movies, if not both, but Green Lantern (2020) will be maybe about the Corps or a specific Lantern and a narrator to said Corps. I think that'd be the way to go.
Anyways, Marvel... Glad they have Spider-Man reigned in. Hopefully no trailer spoils him. I'd like to see a little more about Black Panther from trailers, honestly. Sell more people to the idea of him and why he's in the movie.
That Spidey costume is kind of odd -- too bright and rubbery looking. Making the eye pieces adustable like comics artists sometimes do is also a strange choice. Hmm.

I too was wondering if they're going to explain how Spidey can squint like that. I always thought his mask was just a piece of material that he sewed together in his bedroom.
I'm happy to wave my nerd flag by seeing that it was classic Ditko design. The eyes aren't animated like Deadpool's. I'm sure it's CGI, but what I mean is that it seems to be a lens. It makes noise as it dilates. So it seems to me that Stark made his suit and web-shooters in this continuity. That's my guess. I think he looks great. Very 70s with modernization.

It's definitely worth seeing. I wouldn't say it was great, but it was good. It's at least better than Age of Ultron. I suppose you could say it's an Avengers 3 & (probably even more of) an Iron Man 4, than a Captain America 3. Actually, I think Tony 'Stank' was sort of the best part of this movie.
I like Age of Ultron more because the robot had such personality. haha I thought that made the story more interesting. I don't know what it was but I wasn't as hooked on Civil War, but it was still full of great action scenes and humor.
Damn, great movie. One of the best of Marvel so far IMO. It deals with a lot of social issues, which was awesome. It had a lot of characters and plots. Nothing was forced and most of things made sense.
It was a Captain America film, because most of the plots were related to the Captain America films, and because of some observations: SPOILERS
Captain America Team:
-He was right about Bucky
-He won the conflict
-He kept most of the Avengers by his side or closer to him.
-He kept contact with Tony, despite everything.
-He even admitted he wasn't 100% right about things when he left his shield behind.
Iron Man Team:
-Tony ended up alone and defeated.
-Vision screwed up Rhodey.
IMO (I know nothing about the comics) the 'moral' of this movie was that despite Tony's team was more powerful and was backed by the law, that never meant that they were 100% right about the issues. Plus it showed us that Steve is probably the best leader of the Avengers.
You could pretty much say it was an Avengers 2.5, but since it didn't have Thor, Hulk, Nick Fury and his team, I think the Captain America title was right.

While I fully get what you're saying. Had this movie been titled Marvel: Civil War instead, I think it might have been less clear. It is more of a direct sequel to Winter Soldier, but I'd say Iron Man and Black Panther are the ones that had a real character arc. Cap' is the main protagonist though, in that he was mostly right. And yeah, Cap' proved why he should lead the Avengers.
I saw Civil War on Monday. I thought it was great.
What I like about both The Winter Soldier and Civil War is how the villains aren't superpowered and cartoonish but very human. The end of Civil War really hammers the point home that the greatest failure of people is their refusal to listen, and to let fear and hatred dictate their actions, like Tony allowed himself to.
Favourite bits of the movie: T'Challa/Black Panther was fantastic, Sam and Bucky in the Beetle was really funny, Spider-Man didn't feel wedged in, and the entire airport battle was brilliant.
That was a great movie. Most entertaining thing since Avengers 1.
