It makes a big difference when it comes to really visual stuff like action movies nature documentaries and that sort of thing. But the difference isn't huge for normal shows. I have a large HD TV, but I can't be bothered to pay more for all the HD channels. One area where HD makes a big difference for me is in video games.

I like HD alot, no matter at what show. There is a huge difference, maybe you are already so used to HD that you cant remember how bad usual TV quality was.
Its a pleasure for the eyes. |

Usually I don't care either way.
Planet Earth in HD, however, will blow your mind.

I'm so out of the loop on television, I thought you were referring to Hilda Doolittle. Haha, I read books, I don't watch tv. Besides, high def. is nothing compared to real life (unless you have really poor eyesight)

I used to say "what's the big deal about HD" and would make fun of certain family members who praised it.
But a few months ago I got my own big screen TV and have been watching shows in high definition. I still don't care enough to "praise it" or pay for extra HD services, but I do find the difference between HD and normal TV quite noticeable (even if it's just something like a newscast).

I don't even own a 'normal' tv anymore; I'm not one for keeping up with trends.

I hear HD is good, so it might be. I don't watch t.v enough to care, really.
I could use a large flat screen to decorate my wall, though. |

Its great if you have or can afford a plasma or LCD. Since getting a LCD last year, I cant believe what we were watching before. Our old tv is in our bedroom and its so friggin tiny and grainy! We might as well dump it. The picture is shiza compared to HD on a new TV.
(I was just lucky to use mums credit card on a 2 year interest free period, Im still paying it off weekly.) In a few years, you'll have no choice but to upgrade. Nature documentaries and big movies are the best on HD.

I could not care less. If I didn't work at home I'd disconnect my cable and read more.

I haven't been watching tv much lately, but when I do, I make sure it's in HD. It just doesn't get any better than that. I even recorded one of my favorite shows, Rescue Me, in HD and still haven't gotten around to watching it. Maybe I'll be in the mood one of these days. I listen to Sirius satellite more than I watch the telly.

I love HD, I can easily tell HD from standard def. It actually boggles my mind that some people can't tell the difference. SD is the one that seems like you're looking through wax paper, and HD is the amazing one.
Nah, SD isn't so bad, but I appreciate HD. Especially golf in HD. The Masters in HD was goddamn delightful!
