Sadly, an american that watches soccer is the equivalent of an american committing treason.
Soccer is "anti-american" and US sports fans will not admit to their xenophobia. They'd rather do the cop-out and say soccer is for pansies or it's not a real sport, the same way that a person might say an ethnic minority is "lazy" and wastes taxpayer's money.

Canadian.
Serie A is the only league I watch and follow extensively. I support AC Milan, but also SSC Napoli as I supported them during their spell in the third division, always wanting them to be able to compete at Milan's level. It's been amazing how much they've improved in just a few years. They are now competing in the UEFA Cup, along with Milan and expecting a top-6 finish in Serie A. This season will be interesting for sure. Ronaldinho is now in Italy, how will he co-exist with Kaka? Milan will be a strong and exciting team on the offense, but their defense worries me and might be more successful in the Cup. Fiorentina will be a strong team this year and should impress at the European level in the Champions League. Adrian Mutu not being sold to Roma was surprising, and they have a scary attack. Roma is also looking strong, despite not much action in the market. Juventus should have a solid season with Amauri, Del Piero, and Trezeguet in attack, and young Sebastian Giovinco looking to make the jump from huge potential youngster to world-class midfielder. Sampdoria won't be very impressive and won't live up to expectation. |

In Europe I only follow the teams that peruvians are in. This year, it's: -PSV Eindhoven -Shalke 04 -Fiorentina -Hamburg I also have a soft spot for Inter, and watch the Champions league as often as I can.

Interesting what made you choose Aberdeen as opposed to say Celtic or Rangers ? Oh and my 2009 Champions League Winners would be a random stab at Chelsea however Real Madrid seem to be back on the right path now that they have dropped all the egomaniacs and got in a few grafters but yeah in my heart i'd say it's probably Chelseas year.

I like underdogs and I don't see anyone else winning the SPL either than Celtic or Rangers. Aberdeen didn't do so well last year although they did well in the UEFA Cup. Beat Bayern in munich but got crushed at home. I could see Chelsea having a chance the only thing that concerns me is having a first year coach. He's good but he's been out of club football for awhile.
