Default The return of Ricky (Social Anxiety) Williams

Ricky Williams aka PuffPuffPass, aka Smokey Lah, aka the Socially Anxious back, is back this week. How do you think he'll look in his first regular season game?

Miami is playing Tampa, they have a tough D so that will be a factor also. Im wondering if he'll play with his heart in it, or look like he doesnt want to be there (which he doesnt, i think...he has no choice)

Oh he'll play with his best effort alright, with everybody watching him, I seriously doubt he wants to look like more of an idiot than he already has. I think he will be ok though, he's had a lot of time to work himself back into shape and while I don't think we will be seeing any Heisman Ricky, I doubt we will be seeing NFL Ron Dayne either. My prediction is 70 yards.

Saban is behind him. I really hope he gets some good carries.

tampa bay D is no joke though. i say 14 carries,60 yards.
i read he'll be splitting running back duties with the other back also.

8 carries for 5 yards as I recall. Cedric Benson didn't do a whole lot better.

5 carries for 8 yards, and 6 catches for 22 yards.

postgame Ricky "I think i played well" & "It's like I never left"

Wow.... my prediction of 70 yards was way off

First game back though, I'll wait and give him a little time before I tighten my noose around his neck.

A funny thing happened.

I was watching sunday nfl countdown on espn before all the games, and some reporters were discussing the whole Ricky Williams situation. One reporter said he won't be surprised if he "lights up the 'joint'" (get it? hahaha). Another one brought up the whole mental disorder thing and said he was too mentally unstable. Stuart Scott then corrected both reporters and said Ricky was the nicest guy hes ever met and also he was diagnosed with a "social" disorder not a mental disorder.

Stuart Scott in the man. He is my second favorite ESPN personality. Chris Berman is my favorite.

I find Stuart Scott to be a bit to.... um... what's the right word here.... ghetto? in his commentary, but he seems to have it right on this one. Of course it is a fine line as to the difference between a 'mental' and a 'social' disorder.

but I was listening to Colin Cowheard [spelling?] on espn radio today talking about how *weird* is good and how he likes weird people and that non weird people are boring. He said everyone who ever amounted to anything. all multimillionaires are weird in some way whether they are germaphobes or whatever like Donald Trump with weird hair and everyone knows Bill Gates is weird. I guess the main subject was Manny Ramirez who apparently is considered weird.

I hope he does well. We all have made SA induced mistakes, myself included.

I think Stuart Scott's urban vernacular is facetious.

he had something like 17 carries for 83 yards yesterday. Not bad for a no. 2 back.
