I'm not really a big badminton player more of a tennis player, but I've played before and it's really fun. Anyway I noticed most of the brands were the same as a lot of tennis racquets like wilson, prince, head, yonex, or prokennex. Don't go for the cheap racquets made of titanium if you are concerned about being embarrassed. Don't go for the most expensive ones made of crazy alloys and technologies either they are mostly gimmicks. I would buy any racquet made of graphite that is moderately priced. Any of these brands would do.

Thank you.
That cleared up a few mysteries. I had no idea that titanium = cheap. Never had heard of grapite in rackets either. Now I have a fair idea what to look for.
