Default Where have all the crickets gone?

We need to talk and organize and get the ball rolling in this area! Just lonely. Wanted to trick you into being in here with me. Comfy? Good. Might as well ask a legit question.

Do you exercise and eat better or worse than when you were younger?
I definitely eat better, and exercise a little more. I want to be as strong and healthy and young looking as I possibly can.

I exercise more than I used to back in my 20's. I run about 3-5 days a week, which isn't bad for a slacker like myself. Unfortunately, I still haven't changed my eating habits. For a single guy like myself who doesn't cook.... well, let's just say in the last week I've eaten:

Ramen
Chinese food
Pizza
Burgers
Taco Bell food
Chicken sandwiches from a gas station
Roast beef
A McDonalds Quarter pounder
Macaroni and cheese

...and that's just what I can remember.... I can't remember anything 'healthy' that I've eaten lately other than hummus and pitas (and that's not really 'healthy'). That said, the exercise has been keeping my weight under control so I'm not worrying about it yet..

I've always exercised -- it's sort of a natural antidepressant for me. I definitely eat better than when I was younger. I do what I can to feel good physically since that's one aspect of life I feel I have some control over.

I have been eating better lately I just wish I knew how to cook so that I could make it even better. I use to get more exercise when I was younger. I've been exercising for several months now but my sleep apnea has really taken it's toll this summer and I haven't been able to get out and ride a bike or start jogging like I wanted to. Hopefully after I see the specialist next month he can help me so that I can start doing the things that I want to do to get healthier.

I'm actually eating better and like my body better now than I did when I was in my teens and early 20's. As they say a good lifestyle affects how your body ages. I wonder if that's why I feel younger than I am.

I'm doing OK with diet and exercise. I worked out more vigorously in my 20s than I do now, but my joints won't allow some of the abuse I used to throw at them.

I was thinking yesterday that everything considered, physically I'm doing as well or better now than I would have predicted 20-25 years ago.

I havent hardly worked out at all in the last two months, due to circumstances. I plan to get back on the horse though beginning tomorrow with my days off. I think I need that release in addition to just being physically active. I definitely eat better now than I used to.

And PS hummus is a very good thing to eat; provided is prepared properly. Not so sure about the pitas, I eat my homemade red pepper hummus on Wasa Crispbread.

I am very vigilant about cooking from scratch as much as possible. I try to stay away from take out food.

I eat a bit better and exercise a little more. Still don't do any sport as such, but I move around a bit more than I did!

It would be good to have more discussions in this area. Perhaps people are wary of starting discussions here, because they assume that the subjects should be different than those covered elsewhere on the board.

I barely exercise anymore, which doesn't help with my self-esteem... I was in great shape three years ago. Then I started having problems - kept getting sick, had dizzy spells, and there's been a decline ever since. I think I've only exercised four times this year, and I've out on weight this Summer.

Where have all the crickets gone? Maybe into denial, judging from the OP avatar. Mine is WYSIWYG.

I definitley eat better and exercise (not enough though) more than I did when I was younger.

I wouldn't even eat anything green until I was 25! Now I love all green vegetables and try to avoid processed carbohydrates.

I believe in weight training for optimal physical health, but that does not mean that I am highly motivated to get my butt to the gym. It can be damn hard to make myself go.

I enjoy walking on the treadmill while watching the Biggest Loser.

I've been to a gym once in my life, years ago. I walk and swim for exercise. Have any of you tried Curves?
