I have a lot of things. I have an old car that I am in the process of restoring. This is a great break from the stresses of the day because it puts me out of reach of everyone. Beyond that, I work on photography and video projects. I like to cook, too, but I'm not very good. I pretend to be good a Cajun cuisine ;-)
I think that photography is probably one of the best ways of expressing creativity - at least for me.

I tend to spend copious amounts of time surfing the net and reading about things that interest me-therefore my free time seems to fly by.
You could take an online class in something you're interested in or just check out some books from the library. There are plenty of games to play with people online. I don't know your level of SA, but you could find/tour all the free places of your town. I like yoga and meditation also-so the tai chi thing sounds good.

Actually I was starting to think the same thing! I just did a list of all the tourist sites in the city I live in. I think I'm going to take a camera like someone else suggested and just start taking pictures of all these locations.
I think I'll start on Monday. We may be leaving town in another year or so, so maybe down the road I might appreciate having these pictures. Thanks! |

Okay, i'm 17, and a couple of my hobbies may seem weird, but here goes..
MUSIC, travelling around my town on buses, alone, with my music (i am yet to find anything more fulfilling!) being with people that i love, that feel comfortable around, spending lots of time on the internet (various forums, facebook, youtube..), sleeping on my trampoline (if it's sunny), that's what makes me happy.. |

I'm also a younger one - hope you don't mind me giving you hobby ideas.
I love getting and giving things through the mail, so I do Postcrossing and have also found some pen pals through the site. At the moment I have pen pals in The Netherlands, China, and Arizona. Check it out: http://www.postcrossing.com I also love gardening and cooking, especially cooking with ingredients I've grown myself. I think any hobbies that are physical and/or creative are good hobbies for SAers because they get us out of our own heads somewhat and more into our bodies. Tai Chi sounds like a good idea!

Along the same lines as geocaching, hiking is a rewarding pasttime (if you live reasonably close to mountains). Since my kids were born I have been missing it.

I have a strange fondness for answering people's questions on yahoo answers.
It can be good though when they reply back and tell you you're really helped them. Plus some of the questions are just downright entertaining (honestly, I think some people go on that site and ask a question before they even think about it themselves).I love photoshop, I'm on it all the time. I also like making videos. I'm really into editing them. I used to make a lot of montages just out of random footage I'd shot. I love wasting time on websites like www.mylifeisaverage.com and of course the old favourites, youtube, myspace, ect. But even places like neopets can be fun for the games (and I'm unashamed in saying this because I've known of many other older people going there, haha). I also love photography, reading and writing... sometimes if I don't feel comfortable going into shops I'll just window shop. And I like browsing clothes shops online too. Even if I rarely buy things that way, it can be fun. And I can spend forever looking on www.cafepress.com too.

Hey, yeah. I just started geocaching a couple months ago. It's a blast if you like being outdoors. It's stress-relieving too.
