I don't know if this will help much but in my experience....sometimes you just have to say no regardless of the pressure put on you by others. You cannot care so much about what others feel or think about it because you have to look out for yourself and your family first. No one else will do this for you and you are the only one who knows what you need, and what your limitations and boundaries are with respect to your stress levels and anxiety. You cannot worry about the people who don't understand you or your decision making processes. Their ignorance, lack of understanding and lack of compassion is their problem, not yours. So do yourself a favor and don't take on other peoples problems and attitudes and make them yours. Their problems are "their" business, and their misperceptions about you have nothing to do with you no matter what they might think or say. Likewise, your problems and the decisions you make in your life are your business and your business alone (unless you choose to share it with someone). I hope this helps in some way. Good luck.

Just be standoffish, act like you dont need anyone, and build impenetrable walls like I do

Where's the PM icon! I've received two more invitations from Moms, one for returning money, they act like it was a miracle, It was no big deal, Hannah brought home a ten instead of a one and I returned it.
I simply act like I never received an invitation, I send Dee (my sister) in too the school to pick up daughter if others are there....I keep my nose in a book in the car.....

Then I wonder why I have no friends in this area.......This area has the highest percentage of married parents, I'm just not comfortable.
