I will never walk into the high school I went too. I made that promise to myself when I graduated from there. I seen recent pictures online and it has totally changed. They did a major renovation on the building. I haven't been back home since I left there in December of 1995. My parent's ended up moving up here 4 years after I moved up here.

My high school is now the Junior High, and even it apparently has been completely revamped. I graduated in 1993. Since then, with the school change, came a new high school and two large elementary schools. All three look like prison wards - all new schools do these days - even having "cell blocks".
With the economy tanking, they are forced to close one of the oldest schools in the city - the very first elementary school I ever attended in 1980. The school is approaching 50 years old and they don't want to spend the money to keep it open until they get more funds.

I briefly attended a Catholic school in 8th grade. I was there for less than a year- the second half of 8th grade- since I was flunking out and skipping class at my previous school.
I hated that catholic school so much, and all the kids were so clique-ish and snobby and mean to me, that I still get a sick feeling in my stomach whenever I drive by that church/school. Still, to this day. And it's been over 20 years since I went there. |

I went to this school from grade 7-12. It was brand new when I started going there, my class was the first to go from 7-12 grades there. So I guess it's not all that surprising that it hasn't changed yet. It does look like a prison though. I don't have very many happy memories from that place and never thought I would ever go inside it again. But I have to admit going back was like going back in time or like it was just yesterday I was there. It was a cool time warp experience.
