I find that they do indeed help. My therapist recorded one for me, which I find effective. others are effective too. it takes practice though. The more I listen to them, the easier it is for me to relax in stressful social situations. But, if I stop listening to them for a while, the effect wears off a bit. So, I think you have to stick with them for a long time, depending on how nervous you actually get.

Thanks for that info! I've started to suspect that that might be the case.
I never really had much success with them. But lately if I feel stressed out I have started listening to them and notice a difference. I look at it almost like a challenge - can I get myself to calm down. |
