I was going to use the word 'old timers' but 'young at heart'SA members sounds and feels alot better for me at least.I just hit the big 40

I been here 5 years,at least 5 different boards(I hope thats the right word)don't post too much anymore.
For alot of reasons.
I don't spell too good,I suffer more from panic attacks then from SA.I been very bussy...family,big move try to get out more.

I still try to get support or post about movies when I get a chance.

Anyways 5 year anniversary for me this month.I know at least Brian(Thunder),Becky and Don have been here way longer then me.And I'm sure theres alot more members too.

don't have to list your age,just check in and say hi and what ever comes to mind.

Hi, Joey.

I posted several times at the old EZboard, under a different name, and originally registered here as "dreamcatching" (I think that was in 2003?). When I visited after a long absence, I couldn't log in, so re-registered with this name.

I'm 33, and have been dealing with severe social anxiety since the age of eleven, but started having panic attacks at the age of five. I've been agoraphobic, and managed to get past that ~ I still have panic attacks, and am trying to get over the hump from being agoraphobic to living a "normal" life.

Hi Joey! I'm sorry but I do not remember you. No big surprise there.

My official join date says I've been here since "May 2004". I thought I'd been here longer. Oh well, it's immaterial. I left the board for a year or so and just came back to it a few months ago on a more or less regular basis. Still don't post a lot though.

My problems are mostly anxiety and depression. (At least the panic attacks are gone now!) Social anxiety is not an extreme problem for me. However, I am avoidant. I have a basic mistrust of people, I think. Poor parenting. I don't expect I'll ever overcome that since it has been reinforced over the years by less than ideal relationships.

I immigrated from the U.S. to the Republic of Panama in April 2007. I've gone from 156 lbs down to 125 lbs, was able to stop taking my anti-diabetic meds entirely in July 2007 and still maintain my blood sugar levels in acceptable ranges. My eating habits have improved greatly. I'm more physically active. Even with my limited Spanish, I can interact with my neighbors to a degree and am able to help those less fortunate than I. And that's a good feeling.

I'm the same age as Thunder. Been here at least 5 years, maybe longer. I'm not sure if the join date shown under my avatar is correct. Seems I remember losing my post count during one of the moves. I remember AlleyCat and BlueOwl but I don't know how long ago that was.

I first joined around '02 (under different user name) was a member several times then went away for a few years. Been back just over a year now and can't say I really know anyone here, I do remember Becky and Thunder from back when though.

Thanks Don,I hit the big 40 back in July...
I also remember the old EZ forum,and look it over a few months ago.
I was surprise by some of my post,I seamed more outgoing in my post back then.

I joined in December of '02, I'm pretty sure. I posted as hypervidge back then. Like Woody said, there was a board change and dates and post counts were lost. I think I remember you joining, Woody, maybe in early '03.

Ummm...what does hypervidge mean??

I joined SAS in November 2004 right after a serious anxiety attack. Finding SAS at that time was great, it really did help.

I have been posting my nonsensical bull**** ever since.

Atticus - Still posting regularly.

Becky & Thunder- Sold SAS and moved to another site.

Amocholes - Moderating and posting regularly.

Woody...still around here and there...havent seen a post in a while.
