I've never had a booster since childhood vaccinations. I'm very sceptical about vaccinations. Been a long time since I believed everything I am told esp in medicine. Has any of you had any boosters? What are your thoughts on the subject? |

I know I've had a booster for tetanus as an adult. I don't have a problem with vaccinations though . . . I think they've done a lot more good than harm.

I've recently had a 10 year booster for the ailments you listed. The only side effect was a sore arm for a few days. Personally I feel they work quite well and are worth getting.
Diphtheria and Pertussis have mostly been eradicated in many countries thanks to vaccination programs. I can understand your concerns though, in the medical field there is a lot of conflicting information as well as potentially unsafe drugs and vaccines. Any vaccine can cause side effects depending on the person so it is really a personal choice on how comfortable you are with of potential side effects vs actually getting the ailments.

Thanks for your thoughts, guys.
Doesn't seem to be an issue for my age group. I've decided that I will only get a booster for tetanus as I am on a small farm every now and then. The rest doesn't appear to be a serious threat in Central Europe to me. |
