Hello everyone, im new here and have been reading through alot of the posts on here and realized that alot of the people on here are very young, and wondered if i was too old to be one here until i saw this one, lol. I guess i was looking to find people to talk on here who know what this is all about and I feel like ive found a place to fit in.

I guess i forgot to mention that i am 41. I also didnt mean to offend any young person on here, i was just surprised to see how many people on here so young with SA.

Hi shygirl and welcome to SAS. I'm pretty sure you will like it here sinse everyone pretty much gets along here. We are people struggling with the same problem and hoping to overcome it.

You can never be too old to join SAS! Just because you're older doesn't mean you're not facing the same challenges as the rest of us! It's never too late to find a support system like this website after all.

Hi shygurl, no you're not too old! I'm 40, and new here as well.

It's a shame the internet wasn't around when we were younger - it's really helpful just to be able to write something and people actually understand where you're coming from!

40 here. Most of the time I am okay with that....I have my moments but overall I am fine with it.

thanks all!! i guess your only as old as you feel, and i dont feel old, only when i have a new ache or pain to add to the list, lol. the internet would have been great back then for sure, i probably wouldnt have felt so alone for sure.

My daughter told me I'm not an old woman yet but I'm getting there (that's really comforting to know :0) I never feel old - I think it is a state of mind.

Well, I'm one of the oldest here and I don't feel old. I'm sure I'm old to most of the youngsters on here tho. I suspect they'll see things differently in 30 years....

I thought the same thing shygurl.
I don't personally feel old either just the way the media portrays things as supposed to be sometimes gets me down.
