Default What do you think of this Major?

I have SA, obviously, and it affects every aspect of my life. Because of my struggles with depression and SA, I feel I have a great amount of empathy for others struggling. I am think of a major in psychology, as in counseling others. I just wonder how realistic this is since I do have SA, but psychology seems to be so interesting and a passion of mine.
I would like others opinions. Any other people in the same situation? I'd love to hear about it.

I got my Bachelors in Social Work (which is similar to psychology) and am getting my Masters in it now. It's definitely a good field for us because we are able to really understand what our clients may be going through. I can tell you that these kind of classes do tend to have a lot of group work and presentations. I just make sure I'm medicated beforehand. And since you're male, you will have mostly female classmates, which can definitely be a plus for you and will also make you stick out in a good way when applying for jobs in the field.
