Default I guess I like to live dangerously...

I just submitted a ten page chapter of my novel for Writing the Novel class. I'm skipping class tonight because I didn't have enough time to write the last seven pages and get ready and go to school.

I submitted it at 6:01:57, while it was due by 6, when class starts. I'm a bad, bad girl... and this isn't my first time skipping this class to get the chapter done. This is my second.

How on earth do I get a hold of this procrastination habit? I can't seem to make myself do anything anymore. I even messed up my newly ordered sleep schedule by using sleep to avoid the work!

How are you guys handling school and procrastination?

I hate to say it, but procrastination is about as hard a habit to kick as smoking.

I am doing it right now.

So you're saying it's hard? Or you're saying it's easy?

Are there packs of gum that will help me with this?

I have an exam in 2 days and i am procrastinating big time. Looks like I am going to be staying up nights to get the work done.

Procrastination is damn impossible to kick.

When i was doing uni work, or any school work, i'd always *always* leave it til the last minute and pull all nighters. I remember one project i barely made it in to hand it in and then almost collapsed from exhaustion. Got a good grade for it but that's pretty stupid

It's really annoying, i waste tons of time putting things off... whilst if i hadn't planned to do whatever it is i'm putting off i'd prob be using the time usefully.

All thats keeping me from graduating from my degree is one work report. And I've been putting it off for about 3 months now .

If only there was a gum for procrastination! Same problem here. For me, if I have a small assignment or project, I usually get it done early. But if it's a big project that I have awhile to complete like a research paper, I have such a hard time getting it done.

I would procrastinate, in fact I do to a certain extent, but the fact is this: I hate pulling all-nighters and I value my sleep, and I tend to do better on my assignments if I have enough time to work on them thoroughly.

Fun story: When my dad was in college, he was a huge procrastinator. He would wait to the last minute to get assignments done. Well exams come around, and in order to pull those all-nighters, he took Notos to keep himself awake for three days straight. To this day, he and my mother claimed that he almost had a heart attack due to extremity of his Noto taking.
