Default I am really worried for my next semester - please help!

I have a few issues going on right now with my academics, all equally frustrating. I'll narrow it down to the most pressing one:

I finally got the guts to apply as a T.A for a class. The professor teaching the class finally got back to me and set up a meeting this Tuesday to discuss it (which I'm guessing pretty much finalizes it and sign a TA contract). Its a class I enjoyed a lot when I took it, I really look up to the person teaching it and want to challange myself to do this.

But I'm afraid it may backfire on me - department rules say that among the requirements I need at least 60 credits, an A in class you want to TA for and at least a 3.2 GPA. At the moment I qualify for all of them but I am almost certain my GPA may drop below 3.21 (that is what it is now) due to a very difficult class I am taking this semester that I hope to pass with a C. Not significantly, but likely just below 3.21 - Its not fair, I worked so hard to bring it up to that for almost four years now!!! (My freshman year was a blur of confusion and it consequently hurt my GPA - but its been all A's and B's since then!!!).

Do you guys think it will matter if it does? I mean its at the needed GPA at application time. Or could it be revoked? I'm terrified at the thought of causing the professor an issue, but I think I won't be able to bring it up as a question beforehand!

I mean, I'll have to change my academic schedule already due to an anatomy class they won't let me take. I don't want to miss out on this.
And please dont reccomend I try harder in my difficult class. I've been trying before this.

I think what matters is what it says at the time of your application. A TA wont be revoked b/c you drop just below at a later stage. Dont mention it when you speak to him. That would be like going to a job interview and volunteering reasons why they shouldn't take you LOL

Good luck!

It went suprisingly well. Due to him running late I could only hand him the form as he was going into the lecture hall (I got the guts to wait and more or less intercept him at the door) and did have to wait until the end of his class (2.5 hrs!) to pick up the TA contract from him - he told me I could pick it up next week but I'd have to skip my evening class again for it so I just hung around (fortunately I enjoy the subject so I didn't mind overhearing).
At the end of the class I went up and spoke with him for a bit as he filled out the form and he made some jokes with his current TA's about how horrible he is to work for. It was funny.

So I have to turn in the form to the department office - I think they make the final decision.

Wish me luck.
