Default Video Cards

My dad has been trying to play Flight Simulator on his integrated graphics POS, which needless to say wasn't working very well, so he went out and bought a GTX260. Unfortunately, the 260 is roughly the size of a small car and wouldn't fit in his case. So I swapped out the 9800GT from my pc into his for the 260.

Which got me thinking, what kind of card are you guys running in your machines?

I have a radeon 4650, it plays all my games at medium to high settings, its not the best but it fits my requirements. If I had a better power supply I would swap it for a 9800gt as well.

Currently using a XFX Radeon HD 4870 (1GBGDDR5 version). Not exactly the top of the line, but it runs everything I throw at it with ease.

I have a Radeon HD 3870. It was really cheap and lets me play just about everything maxed. I don't think I'll need anything better for a while still.

I just upgraded the video in my gaming machine (Windows 7 RC1), I replaced an 8800GT for a GTX 295. That also necessitated upgrading my powersupply - I replaced my old Fortron 500W PS with a Corsair 850W. Then my old 8800GT went into my Linux machine, replacing a failing 7900GTX that was once my gaming card, until it started artifacting like crazy. Since I have no gf, I'll continue to spend my money on hardware. I took pix of the upgrade for the tech site, maybe I'll post them here if anybody would be interested. I thought the 8800GT was big, but the GTX 295 is bigger, it looks like a huge hard drive, and weighs a ton.

GeForce 6600 128MB PCI Express that I pulled from my brother-in-law's Gateway PC when the motherboard fried.

I have a used GeForce 7300GS 256MB PCI Express that I got from Computer Renaissance a couple years ago, but it passed away. I can't seem to bury it.

And yes, I know that these are both antiques by now, but I like to keep myself in denial when I'm broke.

Another sad story: I have never used the SLI function on my motherboard.

Still using a trusty Gigabyte Nvidia 8800gt with a Zalman cooler. When i built my new quad core tower the Nv 9 series had just come out but there seemed to be a lot of problems with them freezing up at the time, so i stuck with the tried and true 8 series. Have yet to meet a game it cant play on full quality at 1680x1050.

I'm running an ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro, which surprisingly runs most games quite well, albeit at 1024 x 768.
