I want to buy a portable MP3 player. I want to use it to download internet sound files via Windows media player on my PC. (I do not want to add extra software to the PC in order to do this.) What do I need to look for in the MP3 player so that I can be sure that this will work? |

The feature you're talking about is usually called "USB mass storage support" or something similar. If you connect a player with this feature to a Windows PC, it will appear as a standard removable USB disk drive that you can drag and drop files to as normal.
